Former Special Adviser to former Governor Adegboyega Oyetola, Jamiu Olawumi, has reaffirmed that the All Progressives Congress (APC) remains firmly rooted in Osun State.
Olawumi made the statement while speaking on Gbagede Oro, a political discussion programme on Radio Afinju, hosted by Adedayo Oderinu.
He explained that the APC has opened its doors to all aspirants interested in contesting the upcoming Osun State governorship election, noting that nine aspirants have so far obtained nomination forms, which they are expected to submit at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja.

According to him, those who have shown interest include the former National Secretary of the APC, Sen. Iyiola Omisore, alongside Oyebamiji Bola, Dotun Babayemi, and several others.
Olawumi further expressed the party’s preparedness to support Sen. Iyiola Omisore ahead of the party’s primary election scheduled for December 13, 2025.
