The promoted players, Yusuf Umar, Nasir Ahmad, Hassan Abubakar, Kabir Muhammad Muhammad, and Usman Abdullahi are all proud indigenes of Katsina, between the ages 17 to 19, representing the latest success story in the state’s expanding efforts to nurture and develop local athletes.

Katsina United’s Sporting Director, Shamsuddeen Ibrahim, lauded the development, calling it a dream come true for both the players and the wider football community in the state.

“This is a proud moment, not just for these boys, but for everyone involved in football in Katsina. It shows that our system is working,” he said.
