Baba-Ahmed recalled his political journey, stating moments where he chose to step back from important contests in order to expand national unity, while featuring on National Television.
According to him, “I welcome the idea of power remaining in the South. That’s why, if you recall, I was inspired to run for the presidency in 2019, and in 2023, I served under His Excellency, Peter Obi as vice-presidential candidate.
“Before that, I attempted a governorship bid in Kaduna but chose to withdraw.”
He went on to praise Peter Obi and Nyesom Wike for demonstrating restraint despite their political capital.
