The Nigerian chef, who gained global fame after setting the record for the longest cooking marathon in 2023, shared details of her upcoming project in a video posted on social media.

According to Hilda, the massive custom-made pot designed for the feat holds a volume of 22,619 litres, and she intends to fill it up to 75–80% capacity.

“My goal is to fill this pot up by at least 75 to 80 per cent,” she said.
“That means I will need about 5,278 kilogrammes of raw basmati rice to achieve the yield.”

Although her calculations originally pointed to using 264 bags of rice, Baci said she made a “strategic adjustment” and has decided to go with 250 bags instead.

The chef also broke down the massive quantities of ingredients required to make the dish a success. She revealed that the jollof rice will require approximately 1,583 kilogrammes of tomato paste.

To enhance the flavor profile, Baci noted that the tomato base will be distributed evenly across tomato paste, pepper chicken paste, and jollof paste, promising what she called the “most delicious, largest pot of Nigerian jollof rice you have ever tasted.”

The feat has already generated widespread attention and excitement online, with many eager to see if she can set yet another record in the culinary world.
