Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke has officially announced that he is now a member of the Accord Party and will seek re-election for a second term on the party’s platform.
The Governor made this known during an event at the Government House banquet hall, with national and state leaders of the Accord Party present.
The governor explained that he joined the Accord Party after weeks of discussions with different stakeholders.
According to him, the decision was made so he could continue the work his administration has already started and deliver more good governance to the people of Osun State.
He said the Accord Party’s focus on people’s welfare fits perfectly with his own commitment to the wellbeing of citizens and workers.
The governor welcomed the party leaders, saying they are now united with his team in working for the progress of Osun State, stressing the need for unity, inclusiveness, and collective effort as the state prepares for the next election.
Governor Adeleke praised the Accord Party’s philosophy, saying that government must always put the welfare and wellbeing of the people first. He noted that his administration has consistently worked to improve the lives of Osun residents through policies, infrastructure, and social services.

He declared the Accord Party as the new platform for the people of Osun State, calling on all zones and communities, from Osun West, East, and Central to areas such as Igbomina, Ijeshaland, Ifeland, Osogbo, Iwoland, Modakeke, Gbongan, Igbajo, Ikire, Ikirun, and Ede to support the movement with their “thumbs up” symbol.
The governor expressed confidence that just as Osun people voted for good governance before, they will support continuity in the next election.
