The ceremony which held at the Government House on Tuesday, according to a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Fred Itua, emphasized that the appointments were made strictly on merit. He warned the newly inaugurated officials against corruption and actions that could undermine the integrity of his administration.
“These appointments are not rewards or acts of patronage, but a call to serve the people of Edo State,” Okpebholo said. “Our administration came into office with a promise of practical governance, governance that delivers real impact in the lives of our people.”

He charged the appointees to prioritize service delivery and work with diligence and integrity, adding that his government is focused on results, not propaganda.
“This is an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the development of our state,” he added. “Any act of corruption or sabotage will not be tolerated.”
Governor Okpebholo concluded by urging the new officials to uphold the public trust and remain accountable to the people of Edo State.
