A fire broke out early Wednesday morning at a factory in Nnewichi, Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra State, destroying property valued at millions of naira.

The blaze, which began around 5:30 AM, reportedly consumed large quantities of tissue paper, baby clothing, and diapers (pampers).

A resident of the area, Obinna Okoye, described the fire as a complete surprise. “We were all still asleep when the fire started,” Okoye said. “Firefighters arrived quickly, and they’re still working to put out the flames. Pampers and tissue papers are highly flammable, which has made it difficult to control.”
