Agwu announced the news on his X page, saying, “My dearest mother has gone to be with the Lord. Mama Gee, you will be dearly missed. Rest in peace.”

The footage captures a tender moment where he surprises his mother, fondly referred to as Mama Gee, while she is peeling cassava stems.

While the comedian did not disclose the specific date of her passing, he expressed the sense of loss he feels, describing her as someone he “will dearly miss” and wishing her peaceful rest.

Agwu began his career on stage in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, where he grew up.

He has featured in numerous television series and movies such as ‘Torn’, ‘A Long Night, and ‘After Count.’ He is also famous for one of his evergreen ‘Mama Junior’ comedy.
