Nigerian actress and filmmaker, Bolaji Ogunmola, has slammed the United Nigeria Airline for a “series of flight disruptions” that have left her stranded in Ekiti, severely impacting the first day of production for her new film.
Ogunmola shared an emotional video on Instagram, revealing that she was scheduled to fly to Lagos on Wednesday.
According to her, upon arriving at the airport, she was informed that the flight was delayed and later cancelled entirely.
The actress said airline staff assured her that the next available flight would depart at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday.
She said that the promise, however, proved empty. She said after waking at 5:00 am and arriving at the airport by 6:30 am, she was told the departure was pushed to 9:30 am, then to 12:00 pm, and finally to 5:30 pm.
According to her, the continuous postponements have caused major professional and financial fallout.
Ogunmola revealed she has invested between N15 million and N20 million to launch the production of her film TOC.
“I’m still at the airport, by the way, and I’ve cried my eyes out this morning. I’m in Ekiti. I’m still here because I’m on set this morning, and it’s the first day of TOC’s production. I have actors on set. I booked restaurant. I booked everything, and I’m still here. I spent over 15, 20 million trying to produce this film,” she said.
“As we speak, my crew, production, everything, it’s our first day at work. It’s not only my time that these people are toying with. It’s actually my source of livelihood as well. There is no conversation. Everybody just says sorry to me. What am I supposed to do? I’m literally stuck here.”

Frustrated by a lack of clear communication or solutions, receiving only repeated apologies from airline staff, Ogunmola said she is now considering the unsafe option of traveling by road to reach her set.
She emphasized that she felt compelled to document the experience as evidence.
“I have to go by road, which is very unsafe, but I need to get to work. My lawyers will take this up. I just needed to have evidence of what is going on,” she added.
“They are not remorseful. They are unfair. They don’t have any sense of decency. I’m not the person to call out anybody. I’m not going to shout. I’m not going to fight. I don’t do that, but I just need to have evidence.”
