The 24-year-old Senegal international is expected to join the Bundesliga giants after both clubs reportedly reached an agreement.

Jackson’s recent absence from Chelsea’s squad in their Premier League clash against West Ham on August 22, as well as in pre-season friendlies against Bayer Leverkusen and AC Milan, has intensified speculation about his future at Stamford Bridge.

The striker appears to have fallen down the order following Chelsea’s summer signings of Joao Pedro and Liam Delap, paving the way for a potential move away from the club.

Jackson scored 13 goals in 37 appearances across all competitions last season and is under contract with Chelsea until 2033. Since joining from Villarreal, he has made 100 professional appearances for both clubs, recording 36 goals and 14 assists.

In the 2024\25 campaign, he contributed 10 goals and five assists in 30 matches for the Blues.

An official announcement of the deal is expected in the coming days.
