This declaration was made by the APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, during the inauguration of the party’s Anambra 2025 Governorship Election Campaign Council, held Tuesday at the party’s state headquarters in Awka.

Inaugurating the council for APC’s governorship candidate, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, Yilwatda said the party would deploy all necessary electoral strategies to ensure victory.

“Today’s inauguration of these credible and loyal members of this great party in Anambra is proof that APC is fully prepared and ready, not just for the election, but to reclaim the state from Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s administration,” Yilwatda said.

He tasked members of the campaign council to work diligently to reclaim the state from APGA, which has governed Anambra for nearly two decades.

Yilwatda also expressed optimism over the recent defection of four members of the Anambra State House of Assembly to the APC, claiming the party had already secured “up to 70 percent of the people in government.”

He called on the newly inaugurated council to immediately begin mobilizing party members at the grassroots level across the state.

“We are excited because our incoming governor, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, and his running mate, Senator Uche Ekwunife, have already developed a comprehensive blueprint for Anambra’s development,” he added.

Represented at the event by the APC South East Zonal Chairman, Dr. Arodiogbu Ijomah, Yilwatda also commended the Anambra State APC Chairman, Chief Basil Ejidike, for maintaining party unity in the state.

Speaking at the event, the APC governorship candidate, Prince Ukachukwu, criticized the current state of security and infrastructure in Anambra, accusing the Soludo-led government of failing to prioritize these critical areas.
