The rumour, which surfaced last week via an anonymous YouTube channel, claimed Ayuba had secretly conducted a DNA test and discovered that one of the children he was raising was not biologically his.
The channel further alleged the discovery left him “shattered” and prompted a breakup with his wife.
In a swift response, Ayuba dismissed the story as “completely fabricated” and “malicious.”
A statement issued by Ola Oluwasanmi, brand engineer at Bonsue Music, called the claims baseless and clarified that the singer remains happily married to his wife, with no paternity issues ever arising in their three-decade-long marriage.
“Our attention has been drawn to a baseless and malicious story circulating online, published by a faceless blogger, concerning Dr. Adewale Ayuba’s family,” the statement read.
“This story makes outrageous claims about an alleged divorce from Ayuba’s wife, Azuka Ego Saliu Oke Ola, née Kwento, and a completely unfounded scandal regarding the paternity of their children suggesting he ‘broke his silence’ over some non-existent discovery.”
The statement also pointed out factual inaccuracies in the report, including the false claim that Ayuba’s marriage lasted only one year.
“For the record, they have been happily married for well over thirty years! This fundamental error alone exposes the story as a complete fabrication,” the statement added.
Ayuba condemned the blog post as a “cheap, despicable attempt” to tarnish his image and bring public ridicule to his family.
The singer has engaged his legal team and confirmed that steps are being taken to identify and hold the publisher accountable.
“We are currently consulting with our lawyers to pursue all available legal remedies against this irresponsible individual. We will not allow Adewale Ayuba’s integrity to be attacked without consequences,” the statement concluded.
