According to a statement issued by the Lagos State Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, the incident occurred in the Ojota area after the suspect reportedly resisted arrest for unlawfully crossing the expressway.


Idowu was taken into custody at the KAI office in Oshodi, with the Commissioner stating that he will face prosecution under applicable Lagos State laws.
