The operation, followed actionable intelligence from ground troops, according to a statement by NAF’s Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet.

A combined force of Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) platforms and strike aircraft tracked terrorist movements near Banki. Real-time updates enabled precision airstrikes in three successive waves, targeting the terrorists’ movement routes and assembly points.

“Post-strike surveillance confirmed the neutralisation of over 25 terrorists, with no further threats observed,” the statement said.

The NAF described the mission as a show of continued support to ground forces and a strategic effort to deny terrorists freedom of action in the North-East.
