]]> The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, has lamented the death of over 45 persons in a tragic road accident in Niger State.

In a statement, the minister said he received the news with a heavy heart and deep sorrow.

He sent heartfelt condolences to the government and people of the state, the families, friends and loved ones of the persons who lost their lives in the accident.

Reports say the accident occurred along Bida-Agaie-Lapai road in Niger State in the early hours of Sunday.
