A respected traditionalist and Chief Priest in Osogbo, Osun State, Kayode Esuleke, is dead.
Reports has it that Esuleke passed away on the evening of Saturday, January 25, 2025.
Confirming his death in a condolence message, Chairman of the Osun State Traditional Medicine Board, Oladebo Abiodun, expressed his grief over the loss.
He described Esuleke’s death as a significant loss to the traditionalist community.
Oladebo highlighted Pa Esuleke’s contributions during his tenure as Chairman of the Traditional Medicine Board from 2016 to 2019 saying Esuleke’s leadership and dedication greatly advanced the preservation of Yoruba traditions.
Oladebo also noted that Esuleke continued to offer valuable support and guidance to the board after leaving office.
Family members and associates also described the deceased as a symbol of cultural preservation, whose dedication will be remembered for generations.
A statement from the Traditional Medicine Board extended thoughts and prayers to his family, friends, and the entire traditionalist community.
The late traditionalist was renowned for his commitment to Yoruba culture and traditional practices, earning him widespread respect among peers and the community.
