It was gathered that the deceased was electrocuted while rectifying a fault on the 33kV high-tension cables at Odi Babaode area of the town.
The General Manager, Oyo State Fire Service, Yemi Akinyinka, confirmed the incident to newsmen in a statement.
The incident occurred when the victim was trying to rectify an electrical fault on the active power lines without shutting down the feeder.
He explained that the agency acted on a distress call from one Adelanre Adeyinka.
Akinyinka noted that the remains of the victim have been recovered and handed over to a team of policemen from Eruwa Police Station.
