A fatal crash around Ayetoro on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway has claimed nine lives and injured three.
The Federal Roads Safety Corp, FRSC,
confirmed the death of the passengers which occurred in the early hours of today around Ayetoro area of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
The Chief Route Commander and Public Education Officer of the Sector, Florence Okpe, confirmed this development in a statement issued in Abeokuta, the state capital.

According to her, a total of 13 people were involved which comprised of 10 male adult and 3 female adult, with 6 male and 3 female were recorded dead, while 3 were injured, adding that a TOYOTA HIACE BUS and a TRUCK vehicle were involved.
Okpe said the suspected causes of the fatal crash were excessive speed and fatigue due to refusal to obey the 15 minutes rest after 4 hours journey, which led to loss of control and the driver rammed into a stationed truck.
She said that the injured victims have been taken to Famobis Hospital in Mowe, while the deceased were deposited at Idera morgue in Sagamu.
