The group made this known in a chat with newsmen at the January State of the State monthly address.
One of the prominent members who spoke on behalf of the group, Ayo Ologun, called on the Osun State Government to ensure that the processes of recruitment into both organizations are free and fair to all, saying the government should not play any politics with people’s collective resources.
“The plans to recruit into both organizations will not just provide short to long-term empowerment for successful candidates, but it will also serve as a long-term means of human capacity development in our State. Our vast population of young unemployed persons has already become a thing of worry for most concerned stakeholders in our society. Such massive recruitment is thus a welcome development.
“We have received reports from some quarters that successful candidates being contacted for the Imole Youth Corps are largely members of the Peoples Democratic Party. This is not acceptable and must be checked immediately,” he stated.
He further admonished the State Government to hasten teachers’ recruitment to address depletion of teachers in most public schools stressing that prompt recruitment will bring an end to the substandard Educational System in the State.
“We have patiently waited for the conclusion of the Osun Teachers’ Recruitment Exercise that started months ago. It is noteworthy that the Oyo State Government started its recruitment process after the Osun State Government commenced its own. Successful candidates have since resumed in Oyo State, while the process in Osun State has continued to drag on. The earlier the Osun State Government concludes the recruitment process, the better for our ailing Educational System.
“We will love for the Osun State Government to clarify when the Teachers’ Recruitment process will be completed and successful candidates issued their Employment Letters,” Ologun added.
On the Ifon/Ilobu communal clash, TOM advised the Adeleke administration to immediately utilize the buffer zone for any valuable developmental project, adding that Amotekun Corps are to be deployed to the area on permanent surveillance duty for at least the next two years.
Despite having much respect for the Office of the Speaker of Osun State House of Assembly, Ologun noted that Adewale Egbedun as a person is irresponsible for labeling The Osun Masterminds a blackmail group that is being sponsored by the opposition as a result of the group seeking accountability from the State Assembly under his leadership.

He further challenged Adewale Egbedun to take legal action against the group if the Legislative Arm did not expend over 2 billion naira between January to September 2024.
The group equally frowned at the approved tariff hike on telecommunication companies by the Nigeria Communication Commission, NCC.
He said: “We must also put on record that Telcos are already not delivering fair value to Nigerians at the current tariffs, let alone be able to justify a tariff hike. The planned hike is unacceptable, and must not be allowed to stand.”
Ologun who maintained that the hike is coming at a time when the masses are grappling with hardship, emphasized that the government should be seeking ways to alleviate the suffering of the average Nigerian.
