FG to premiere TV series on mining sector Jan 25

The federal government is set to premiere a television drama series on mining in Nigeria on January 25.

In a statement by the minister of solid minerals development, Dele Alake, the TV series titled ‘Hidden Riches’ will showcase the complexities of Nigeria’s mining sector.

He said the series would also showcase the potential and development lurking in the sector as a key driver of economic transformation.

Alake said the project will unravel the complex dynamics of politics, power, and ambition surrounding the nation’s mineral wealth.

The statement stated that the series Produced by Take 7 Media and directed by Bem Pever and Nwamaka Chikezie, will officially debut on January 25, 2025, from 8:05 pm to 8:30 pm and will be aired weekly, every Saturday, on the Network Service of the Nigerian Television Authority.

The minister said the project aligns with the agenda of President Bola Tinubu, which aims to diversify Nigeria’s economy.

He added that the compelling narrative of the series will encourage citizens to engage in building a sustainable future.

The series will feature actors including Sydney Diala, Lara Owoeye-Wise, Iveren Antiev, and Alex Jibrin.
