According to a joint statement by the Commissioner of Education and Human Capital Development, Sa’adatu Kawu, and the Executive Chairman of the Kwara State Teaching Service Commission, Bello Abubakar, Fatimoh has been demoted by two grade levels.
The government said that the investigative panel on the matter found Hamzat Fatimoh guilty of fighting on duty, using foul language, insubordination, and disrespect for the national identity the corps member’s uniform represents, adding that her behavior contravenes public service rules.

The statement added that Fatimoh be transferred out of her current school and undergo counseling sessions.
The state government further declared that such abuse would not be tolerated under any guise.
It urged teachers in the state to remain law-abiding at all times by performing their duties by the laid-down procedure, as the state government will continue to prioritize training on teaching ethics and procedures of service.
