Osun CSO:  Adeleke urged to shun moves that can destabilize the State

An Osun-based Civil Society, The Osun Masterminds, TOM, has implored the  State Government to stay clear of issues that can instigate crisis and unrest in the State.

The Society made this known through its Executive Director, Wasiu Oyedokun-Alli while addressing the press at the November edition of State of the State address, noted that the relocation of the proposed Airport from Ido- Osun to Ede is  nepotism and  could cause chao thereby distorting the peace in the land.

Oyedokun also affirmed that the relocation is tantamount to squandering Osun State’s investment, as previous administrations have expended much capital into the project, citing Rauf Aregbesola’s administration expended about ₦3.5 billion of the State’s funds on the project before concessionimg it to AWOL Limited.

He further asserted that the Osun State Government’s involvement in the choice of Oludo of Ido by foisting Warrant Chiefs on Kingmakers is also a bane that can cause unrest in the Community.

Oyedokun, however, hinted that the Osun State Government’s approach to the arrest and alleged shooting of Osun Transport Management System, OSTMS, Chairman Nurudeen Alowonle, by the Nigeria Police Force, seemed suspicious, saying the government must allow the law to run its course.

While felicitating with the Adeleke administration on the celebration of his 2-years in Office, the Society enjoined the government to engage the citizens in policy-making, as these policies are meant for the citizens.
