Super Falcons arrive in Angers for France friendly

The Super Falcons players and officials have started arriving city of Angers ahead of the friendly against the Les Bleues of France.

Interim head coach, Justine Madugu summoned 20 players for the friendly, an encounter scheduled to kick off at 9.30 pm Nigeria time at the Stade Raymond Kopa, Angers, on Saturday night.

It will be the fourth-ever meeting between Nigeria and France

France had defeated the Super Falcons 1-0 in a group-stage clash at the FIFA Women’s World Cup hosted by Germany in 2011.

The Europeans thrashed Nigeria 8-0 in a friendly inside Le Man’ Stade Marie Marvingt in April 2018.

Les Bleues also defeated the West Africans by the same margin at Roazhon Park when both sides clashed at the 2019 World Cup finals hosted by France.

The Super Falcons will use the friendly to prepare for the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations WAFCON.
