Nigerian singer and songwriter, Ahmed Ololade, also known as Asake’s latest EP, Lungu Boy, has achieved remarkable success, reaching the number one spot on the charts in 19 countries, according to streaming platform Apple Music.

The EP has secured top positions in a diverse range of countries, including Nigeria, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, Ireland, Kenya, Benin, Cameroon, Canada, Gambia, Ghana, Liberia, Malawi, Mali, Mauritius, Niger, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, and Uganda. This global recognition highlights Asake’s growing influence and the international appeal of his music.

Released on August 7, 2024, Lungu Boy marks Asake’s second musical project since joining Olamide’s YBNL and Empire Music Distribution. The EP features a total of 11 tracks, showcasing Asake’s distinctive sound and artistic vision. Notably, it includes collaborations with prominent artists such as Travis Scott, Stormzy, and Ludmilla, adding a unique blend of styles and perspectives to the project.
