Chief Executive Officer of the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure, Khalil Halilu, has disclosed that the agency would offer a 50 per cent discount to drivers who want to convert their vehicles using the newly launched MY-CNG App.
According to a statement by NASENI’s Director of Information, Olusegun Ayeoyenikan, Halilu spoke while presiding over the launch of the Presidential Compressed Natural Gas Initiative’s Conversion Incentive Programme for the rideshare sector, alongside the introduction of the app, at NASENI’s CNG Engineering, Training, and Conversion facility in Utako, Abuja.
Speaking at the event, attended by the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), Ekperipe Ekpo, and others, Halilu emphasised the significance of Pi-CNG in Nigeria’s gas revolution.
He said that the initiative had quickly become central to discussions on the nation’s energy future adding that the initiative was a response to the current economic challenges, offering a viable solution to reduce the cost of living for Nigerians.
Halilu also highlighted the importance of the collaboration, commending partners like Pi-CNG, Portland, and Dana Motors for their dedication.
