The Action People’s Party, APP, along the GRA axis of Port Harcourt, Rivers State capital has suffered a dynamite explosion.
The incident reportedly occurred in the early hours of Monday precisely around 1am as assailants allegedly threw dynamites into the building housing the secretariat, destroying windows and doors, as well as other property of the party.
This came amidst speculations that the State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, plans to move with his supporters to the APP.
A party official who chose to remain anonymous said the incident was politically-motivated and that they know that the APP is a fast-growing political party in the state. He also called on the police to investigate this and arrest the culprits.
However, The spokesperson for the state police command, Grace Iringe-Koko, said she was not yet aware of the incident.
