Dokubo, the LP’s chairperson in Rivers, was said to have been suspended on Thursday after the party’s ward executive committee held an emergency meeting on July 15.
Dokubo was said to have been accused of financial misconduct, abuse of office, and breach of party regulations, among other allegations.
A letter addressed to the LP chairman of Asari Toru and signed by the ward chairman Ajalamonia Ibama, Lole Amacheer, the secretary; and Emmanuel Ibamathe, the treasurer; indicated her suspension.
Reacting in a video shared via an Instagram post, Dokubo said at no point was she suspended from the Labour Party.
She claimed the names mentioned in the publication were all Peoples’ Democratic Party ,PDP, members trying to tarnish her image.
She alleged that she had been coerced, threatened, bribed but the allegations were a new way to hurt her.
