The Osun State Police Command has advised motorcyclists, especially the commercial ones , also known as Okada, to be cautious of passengers they carry or employ their services.
This becomes imperative as the Police Command has noticed a disturbing trend of bike/motorcycle to inconspicuous and isolated areas where cyclists will be attacked and their bikes snatched, in some cases, the motorcyclists have been severely injured or even killed.
In a statement from the state Police Public relations officer, Opalola Yemisi, The Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Abba, enjoined the leadership of Okada Riders Association in the State to continually sensitize their members in other to avoid being victims of this trending crime.
The Command also advised them to report any suspicious passenger and their activities to the nearest police station as the Police Command is working tirelessly to apprehend and prosecute those involved in these heinous crimes.
